Iran flick ‘The Home’ goes smooth on fest circuit

‘The Home’ directed by Asghar Yousefi-Nejad continues to make the rounds on the festival circuit, joining film event in China.

According to the festival’s official website, the flick will vie at First Film Competition section of the 8th edition.

The 8th edition of Beijing International Film Festival, which is one of the best film festivals in Asia, started on April 15 and will continue until April 22, 2018, in the capital city of China Beijing.

“When her father dies, a grieving woman returns to the family home after a long absence. As her relatives assemble to pay their respects, questions arise about how to deal with the body in this surprising suspense,” a festival synopsis for ‘The Home’ reads.

In recent months, the successful Iranian title has made it to the official selection list of several film events in Denmark, the US, Turkey and India.
